Well, Christmas went by too fast and no thanks to work, it was quite possibly one of the most unfulfilling times. Overtime every single weekday. Coming home tired and grumpy. No mood for wanting to watch the usual Christmas films such as my favourite Miracle on 34th Street, among all the other films and TV specials over the years. Too much "Bah humbug" to want to do my reading of A Christmas Carol. And then when Christmas Day came, I went over to my relatives' house, emotion-dead.

Not to sound ungrateful, but most of what I got wasn't on my list. The betta fish that was probably chipped in together was a nice thought, but I had my doubts about having a pet, since I pondered a pair of rats for a long time, but again, my job keeps me away for most of the time. Got a new digicam, though I already had one, even though the new one is better. Got a few books, but only one of them was on my list. Also got the usual gift of Life Savers, which I gave to everyone else, not being too keen about them anymore, like most hard candies.

As for what I got for others, I asked around what was on their lists and I did my best to give them what they wanted, not what I speculated they wanted (or needed.) "Do unto others" didn't seem to have the return on my part, mostly.

Then came New Year's Eve. Another day of work and then overtime at the last minute before the standard logout at 5:00 PM caused a long-distance delivery of fifty miles and not getting home until late at night. Came home feeling exhausted, bitter, upset and on the verge of emo... But if this isn't ranting, I don't know what is...

New Year's Eve can kiss my tail.

Sorry, everyone. Got plenty of love for the rest of you, but I don't feel it coming back as much as I wish. Maybe I'm just sounding like a brat. Wish all of you the best of happiness and joy, even if my own is being shot down.

I want to leave this job I have that is hurting me and get away from it all. I want to have someone whom I can call my own... The world is cruel to people with desires like that. I keep going, one step at a time, but I don't see any sunshine coming my way anytime soon.

Maybe I'll feel better later... Right now, I'm just sad...

Perhaps the only good news is that I'm getting my will to draw coming back. Did a inkwork for a friend on Second Life and planning to draw more of some other nice people there, among other things for those I care about.

Sometimes I wonder if my mid-life crisis hasn't already started at this age. I'm about to be a thirty year-old bachelor/virgin (though I'm not so much worried about the latter.) And yet I don't feel this old, but the fact still exists...

I rise up every morning around 8:00 AM and prepare for the day. Login to work and do the various assignments until around the 5:00 PM hour and return home, often feeling fatigued, a little sore and oftimes unfulfilled and unaccomplished, especially when overtime strikes (which really sours my mood for the evening.)

I've sought after some love, but at the same time I just wish I could kill off any romantic feelings that would come into my heart for this friend or that friend, though none of them are local. Others have said that one doesn't look for love, it finds you when the time is right.

As for those I care about, they can go their merry ways in happiness, whichever way that is. They can be joyful with their own loved ones, for those who have such... Let the world be a merrier place for all... Even if this one doesn't feel that way. To give up my own happiness so the world can have it... To give all my love for world, even if none of it comes back... To give my all, and not ask for anything in return...

Just, please don't sing the birthday song. It's sung probably a thousand times a day in the world, in enough languages as it is... It's TOO mediocre... But then again, so is my life...

At the invitation of a longtime friend from Victorville, I drove out to Anaheim yesterday (Saturday, August 30) and arrived at the residence known as the Anaheim Fur House around 2:00 PM. Was immediately welcomed in by the host, who had a large projection screen TV playing Shrek the Third. Eventually more company arrived and the party got underway. What did we do? About a dozen furs helped themselves to Smash Brothers Brawl, another dozen started pulling out their sketchbooks and drew art for each other, plus later on a few more started Dance Dance Revolution, all complete with snacks, treats and good stuff. Four furs brought their suits, a cute brown raccoon, a spotted puppy, and a foxy-like character, along with a very funny purple moose. Snapped some photos with a few, including my forementioned Victorville friend. The company status was around sixty, with around half a dozen of them being women. Some also gathered in the den to watch Disney's the Lion King and a Hayao Miyazaki film. Near the later evening, I took part in doing at least five sketches for a variety of furs interested. Felt good to get my art hand drawing once again after a long hiatus, that still pains the soul, regarding other affairs of the heart. Through it all, it was truly a wonderful time and it was great to meet those with the common interest.
